I am a Yurok tribal member.  A sportsman, commercial fisherman and outdoorsman. I have the privilege of calling the Klamath River my home. As a child and a young man I explored the lower Klamath river fishing every bend and riffle from the mouth of the river all the way up past the pristine waters of the tributary Blue Creek(the first major tributary and sanctuary for salmon, steelhead and other species).  My roots go deep. My ancestors have also called the Klamath River their home. My family still lives on the land that my ancestors inhabited for many generations. Some of the best fishing locations are named after my family and have been handed down from generation to generation.
